3.07_ TWO ISSUES- FADER Midi IN and Pitch Bend values incorrect

Issue 1. Fader/Sliders MIDI IN broken (this is broken also on Knobs/Encoders/Pads)

Issue 2. Pitch bend does not send 'Coarse' value but only 'Fine' Value as was working in Chameleon.

synththeory In the case of sliders, MIDI IN will be hidden for now, as normally no one sets MIDI IN to a different value than MIDI OUT. However, if this is your case or that of other users, we can re-enable it later with more consistent logic and as an option.
For now, this is how it works in the upcoming version 3.0.8, whose goal is to fix all incorrect visualization and related MIDI issues. Pitch bend has been fixed.
v3.0.8 will be available some moment of this Monday.

Thanks Pablo, however, In the Editor when you click on a button and then a fader, the fader shows the previously clicked buttons midi IN value on the fader (not hidden). This is not expected behaviour. Desired behaviour would be the Midi IN shows the correct MIDI in value for the fader/slider and not the value for the previously clicked button. Even if it not changeable, the correct value should be visible. Thanks

Hi, yes, I know, it’s fixed now and remains hidden until version 3.0.9. In that version, Clone and Manual modes will be available. For now, the MIDI IN value will always be a copy of the MIDI OUT and will remain hidden.

Thanks Pablo, in the meantime will v3.0.8 be available with Pitch Bend fix?

Yes, and with more resolution, anyway the resolution on a touchscreen system is tied, to the size of the slider.
If your slider have 400 pixels, then 400 values will be sent. Anyway is better tan 128.

So I have double checked everything, not gonna spend any more time on it today and am still using Chameleon. But Let me try and explain better.

Template has : Active track Fader/Slider (selected track) PB=Ch9/Number 0
Template has: 8 faders on a different page responding to Bank change : PB=CH1-8/Number 0

I have two indentical Nuendo Midi Remotes: one with Chameleon midi in/out ports and one with Emulator In/Out ports. So I am able to test the Emulator Template correctly with Nuendo against my still working Chameleon template.

If I create e.g 48 tracks in Nuendo and move a fader with the mouse on the selected track within Nuendo the Emulator template slider PB Ch9/0 responds correctly. Nuendo also receives from the fader in the template when touched.
If I move to a new track the fader in the template does not update. However, The tempalte Fader/Slider will respond if I move the Nuendo Fader with the mouse.
This shows Emulator 'does' receive the Channel and Value but does not automatically respond/update to the new fader value when changing track.
I seem to remember a later version of Chameleon exhibted this problem as well for me but 1.5.4B works just fine and updates correctly (receiving each tracks fader value when chagning tracks)
Chameleon 1.5.4B is works just fine.

I found a race condition when changing banks. I’ve released another update, if it still doesn’t work, I’ll install a demo copy of Nuendo to debug it.

Well Done Pablo, you nailed it! V3.09 has addressed the issue. All Sliders/Faders responding and sending correctly now.

Will report back next week if any further findings.

3.09 issue:

When touching a widget on touchscreen Nuendo Loses focus and requires click with mouse cursor to regain focus. (although the mouse cursor does correctly retain its original position). Also noticed that after repeatedly pressing a widget Nuendo does occasionally (but rarely) regain focus but then the mouse cursor has gone into click and select mode.

Chameleon 1.5.4b does not steel the focus away from Nuendo on main display like Emulator.

Note: Chameleon also had the option to disable the Editor Hotkey, can this option be included again?

I can regain focus with an Autohotkey script, but will continue using Chameleon for now as the main Nuendo focus is not lost at all and does not require use of autohotkey to do this.
